Please update your certificate and/or change the "order now" links so that it doesn't use SSL. Firefox refuses to go further without adding an exception. It seems that since you're using Clickbank you could just skip that redirect step entirely.

I want to promote the software as an affiliate and I believe this is hampering sales.

Why would you promote software that is no longer being supported/developed by it's author?

Nobody ever sent me a memo saying the software was no longer being updated.

I'm not using LMP anymore because I wrote my own software. However my software is not for sale so I want to make easy commissions by referring people to LMP.

Read the forums... Dean isn't around anymore AT ALL... Listmail hasn't been updated in YEARS.

Don't get me wrong I still use it and I love it and was just asking a question...

Since I've been using it forever and know how to install it and am fairly technical, not having any support isn't a big deal to me.

However, most people that buy it has NO clue where to go from there so it makes it frustrating for people when there's no support.

Mike,

I've helped any who ask for help. They must be willing to pay me for support, but those who do are very happy with my installation and support of ListMailPro.

Like you, I still use the software, and have for years. It suits me just fine and still does an excellent job of daily mailing. I'm happy to help anyone who needs it, contact me through my website.

Up until a couple months ago I was still using it also....

I recently bought a few new servers ( centos 5.4 ), upgraded all the packages with the dev yum depos.

Listmail seems to fail to function for some reason on these and I've been unable to determine why. It does function but not completely. I had to have it use PHP mail to send and not SMTP and this alone stinks and causes it's own bad issues. This may be due to me setting up sendmail to use Auth and STARTTLS but I couldn't get it to work.

So don't get me wrong, I've helped a few on here with setting it up also, of course like you I charge them to do so...

So I still like Listmail yes and if it works completely on your system great. Would I recommend it anymore to my customers/friends, etc... No.

Also I've been posting on the forums about it not being developed or supported anymore not to bring it down or bad mouth it but only to warn others who may be considering it because most will be highly disappointed.

Well PHP List has apparently matured quite a bit in the last few years. You'll might want to check it out if LMP is not working properly for you.

Looked at that a while back and just checked out the site again.

While it seems decent it lacks the #1 feature I feel is a requirement for my lists and that is autoresponders. A while back when I first checked it out I saw some user made addons that supposedly could work, but they seemed very difficult to implement to say the least.

If you don't need autoresponders it would probably do just fine.

I have another system that I am using now that I like a lot and am pretty happy with for the most part.
